As
you probably already know, all the videos clips on the
website are down because someone deleted them from my
server. I have talked to my host and he did not
delete them, so someone must have hacked in.
Whatever the case, I am still dedicated to providing
these clips to all visitors.
As
you can imagine, it will take some time to rebuild.
From now on, I am changing the format of how visitors
download the video clips. There will not be direct
links to the clips but instead, each section will have a
zip folder that contains multiple video clips. For
instance, there will be a zip file that contains every
opening and ending theme for X-Men...there will be
another for X-Men commercials and so on. This will
make it a lot easier to download all of the clips that
you want in a short period of time because they will all
be in one folder. Also, it makes my job easier
when making them available for download. Even if I
don't have the clip up on the download page, I can still
place them in the zip folder, so there may be some extra
clips floating around in there.
I
hope to have much of this sorted out by next week.
However, I cannot make any promises with the start of
college.
In
case you haven't noticed, the main index page has been
updated to reflect two new divisions of Blast from
the Past. A commercials site is in the works
and should be open before the new year. All types
of commercials from the 90's will be available for
download and I am predicting over 500 will be available
before Spring 2006. The other new addition will be
dedicated to music from the 90's. Unlike the other
two sections, you will not be able to download mp3's of
music due to copyright restrictions. Nevertheless,
visitors will learn all about music from the 90's and be
able to find lyrics, discography, artist information,
etc. Like the kid's TV section, these other two
are a huge work in progress and will expand as time goes
on. If anyone would like to help with any of these
three websites or would like to be in charge of making
another one (such as primetime TV, videogames, etc.),
feel free to e-mail me.
